Yesterday, Tony was trying to help me package my ‘dead drop’ lift of 80kg for 10 reps when this 60+ guy started putting his lift together.
I have known him for a while now.
He is a top bank official and he will come in between 7:30 and 9:30 EVERY MORNING before changing to his work suit.
I watched him put together a combined weight of 220kg+.
I crossed the line by trying just see if I could move the weight.
The roar that came out of me yesterday when I tried it surprised me. I didn’t move it even for a millimetre!
I also snapped my back muscle. I was quickly sent to the physiotherapy room. Graham fixed it for me and booked in more sessions next week for deep massage and possibly acupuncture.
Ronald - the top guy lifting the 220 plus weight told me it would take me some years to get to his level.
I hissed and said thanks.
All I planned to do is comfortably perfect lifting double the weight of my wife plus additional kilos for my own convenience.
I am already 15 on top of her weight. Once I hit 100kg to 120kg, I am done.
Madam will from then be what I have to lift regularly....anywhere....we want to fellowship. I don’t need any 220kg I guess.
But what is a 60+ guy doing with 220kg?
