I wrote this in 2017:

According to the Guinness Book of World Record:

"The most generations alive in a single family has been seven generations.

The youngest great-great-great-great-grandparent being:
Augusta Bunge (USA) aged 109 years 97 days, followed by
her daughter aged 89,
her grand-daughter aged 70,
her great-grand-daughter aged 52,
her great-great grand-daughter aged 33 and
her great-great-great grand-daughter aged 15 on the birth of her great-great-great-great grandson on 21 January 1989."

This was a woman who at 109 lived to see her direct lead 7th generation descendant.

Mind you, her first daughter who was 89 when she was 109 had other younger siblings. But she was the first of the generation.

Now imagine if at 109 and seeing the 7th generation in a world of diseases and pains, how much more different and better things would have been at the time of Adam!

If Ghengis Khan could sire hundreds of children in less than 8 decades, such that 1 MAN IN EVERY 200 MEN ALIVE TODAY IS A DIRECT DESCENDANT OF GHENGIS, WHY DO WE FIND BIBLE SO DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND.

I am only 42 (part updated) and I have 3 children despite starting out late. Imagine if I had started out as early as 18, and we are living in an agrarian society! By now, I should have had at least 4-6 children from the same woman within 20 years. Now imagine having more than one woman during that same time span!

I want you to now translate that to a man and woman who can reproduce for 100 years....oh wait...at least 800 years! Adam lived to be 930! That means for at least 6 to 7 and a half centuries he was ’servicing’ the same woman. All other females would have been his daughters married off to their brothers! That was allowed at the time.

As at 3500 years ago, for you to be crowned a Pharaoh in Egypt, you must marry your own biological sister as your queen! So all these MerNeith, Neithikret, Sobekneferu, Hatshepsut, Tiye, Nefertiti, Cleopatra and other ancient Egyptian queens, they were all married to their own brothers...either older or younger than them! Cleopatra married her 12 year old brother! Mind you, they were all mostly blacks....Egyptians were all blacks until the Assyrians came, and then the Asiatics, the Greeks, the Romans and finally the Arabs who have now dominated the North African country.

What am I saying? By simple calculation, in just 100 years time, 104 children would have descended from me alone if all my descendants should have not more than 3 children each!

In another 100 years, they would not even know themselves and there is a good chance some of them would marry themselves. You only need my female descendants to marry outsiders and bingo...9th great grandson who has become Chinedu from Owerri, will meet another 9th great grand daughter Olabisi who will by then be from Kwara state. These 2 will never know they descended directly from Amostiasis! That's what a century of more than 9 generations can do.

Therefore, when you think you are asking a wise question on who Cain married, just sit down and imagine what 8 centuries of direct reproduction can do when the act of 'incest' was not regarded as a sin yet!

Moreover, the 'Land of Nod' means 'Land of Wandering', wherein a city developed much later and well over 2 thousand years before Moses penned down the story.

It does not take long for a city to develop. I have not been to Akure in over 15 years, and I stare at my parents when they mention places or tell me of a new place within our locale alone. Been told Lagos has changed madly. 2000 was the last time I visited Abuja. And the last time I visited Ado Ekiti was when Adebayo just became their governor! So when people mention that dual roads now exist in Ado, I just look at them as I can't figure out how they could have done that.

Excuse me, city of Dubai was an arid desert land in 1989 when senior Olakunle Tayo and others welcomed me to Christ's School! Everybody goes to Dubai now on holiday! Look at what 28 years could do to a desert land. Just in 1948, state of Israel had a rebirth on a tiny strip of desert land. Today, it competes aggressively with every advance country! Nigeria is even older as it came about in 1914.

So, where Cain wandered around became associated or linked with him such that the only way they could describe it then was the 'Land where Cain wanders around'. Overtime, they just shortened it to the land of Nod. This was the area he took his wife(his sister) with him to settle at, and it became a city over a period of time when he started having his own children.

By the standard of the time, my dad who is just 75 (part updated) yet will still be regarded as a baby. It was not until after the flood that the oxygen content in the air dropped, quality of life dropped, and from 900/800, it dropped down to 600, and then 400, and then 200 and then 120, and now, if you make it to 70/80, you are regarded as old!

Truth is, Abraham lived to see Jacob and Esau. Even Noah lived to see the birth of Abraham. All you have to do is spend more time with your bible and other good textual sources validated by the bible. Some people read looking for faults, others study looking for the missing gaps. That is where we know the difference between a student and a shallow mind.
