I was still living in Greenwich when those Woolwich terrorists killed a military officer. They even tried to attack a police officer who could have sprayed all his bullets on them, but rather shot them so they could be disarmed.
To my surprise, the police and paramedics kept both terrorists alive so they could live and face justice. A cold blood killer who accidentally shot his own private part was given first aid by the police until paramedics got there to take over.
These were serious crimes that the natural instincts of a man would possibly justify the immediate killing of the terrorists and the cold blood killer!
Yet, the police restrained themselves and ensured the criminals’ rights to treatments and fair hearing were not denied them.
My body cringed today when I watched the video of a guy who was fatally shot for protesting his wrongful arrest by the police.
They shot him and watched him bleed to death right in front of their station. Even one policeman was recording him in his painful agony!
Have we now turned so heartless that taking fellow human life means nothing again? Is that station still standing? Are the officers that shot him still walking free? What of the commanding officer of the Area? Does he still have his badge on?
Haaa! Who trained these people?
In 2012, only one bullet was recorded fired by the British police officers and no one died.
In 2013, the whole of British policing force fired only 3 bullets and none died.
Scotland recorded firing only 4 bullets in 5 years with no fatality.
Since 2017, they have spent £500,000 more on rubber bullets to ensure less fatality in their operations. Are they not human beings like us?
When I took the pictures below yesterday on my way to work, little did I know I would have a reason to use them.
The driver in the grey car was followed by the police and asked to pull aside. He sat in his car while the police officers sat in theirs doing their investigations on the driver.
It took them almost 7 to 10 minutes before they stepped out of their car to approach the driver in the grey car to converse with him. The few minutes they spent in their car was to gather all necessary information about the driver before approaching him.
In half an hour, everything was over. They gave him what I believed to be a ticket or something that he must act on. They didn’t have to drag him to their station!
Same thing also happened to me on 2 occasions. The worse of the 2 was when they asked me to join them in their car to show me live video of my recorded speed they logged at 97mph which I was trying to feign ignorance of.
I saw replay of my own video in their car and quickly admitted to my offence! I accepted my punishment of ticket right away without further argument. They were still referring to me as ‘sir’ as they drove off whilst I was thinking of how to report my newest offence to my wife and mum who were on the phone with me when I was stopped!
Truth is, we are no better than animals if we find human life as something that can be taken away without thinking about it.
I denounce that station. I denounce all the officers that wear that uniform in that station. And if Ogun State police command fail to bring those officers to justice asap, I denounce them as well.
Any officer whose primary job is to protect the citizens but is the one taking their lives should face the capital punishment. Enough is enough. The blood flow is too much. Let us be sane for once!
